On July 25, 2016, a cleanliness drive was carried out at Preet Nagar by Multania Branch of the Sant Nirankari Mission in Bathinda Zone in Punjab followed by plantation of 150 trees. The campaign was inaugurated by Shri S.P. Duggal, Zonal Incharge. The enthusiasm of the devotees could be seen from the impressive participation of devotees not only from Multania but Mian, Tenna, Baluana, Naruana and Bir also.
Before cleaning the locality, the devotees organized a rally to create awareness about the need to control pollution.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri S.P. Duggal said that we have not only to remove the pollution of the atmosphere outside but the mind within also. He called upon everyone to unite with God so that there are no feelings of hatred, jealousy and violence and we all live with love, peace and cooperation. He called upon the local residents to look after the plants so that they grow and serve the purpose for which they have been planted.
Shri Kaur Singh, Mukhi, Branch Multania said that the residents of Preet Nagar and surrounding villages have always taken keen interest in the Mission’s social welfare activities. They always give priority to what Satguru calls upon them to do. Leading members of society from various villages in the area were present to encourage the volunteers.
