307 Nirankari Devotees Donate Blood in Panchkula, Chandigarh

With the blessings of Her Holiness Nirankari Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj, a blood donation camp was organised at the Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Sector 9, Panchkula, Chandigarh, on September 4, 2016 where 307 devotees of the Sant Nirankari Mission, including 52 women, donated their blood.

Organized under the auspices of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, the camp was inaugurated by Shri Gian Chand Gupta Ji, Minister of State, Government of Haryana. The 20-member blood collecting team led by Dr. Suchet Sahdev came from PGI, Chandigarh.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Gupta said that blood donation is the noblest service to humanity since it gives a new lease of life to the patient who receives it. He appreciated the Sant Nirankari Mission and its volunteers who are participating not only in blood donation camps but several other activities for the welfare of the society.

Shri Gupta said that the State Government is very keen to implement the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan of the Prime Minister in district Panchkula. He appealed to the Mission to cooperate in the same.

Dr. B S Cheema, Zonal Incharge Chandigarh said that there is no substitute to human blood. To donate blood is, therefore, a great service to the mankind. He said that the devotees here are inspired by the words of Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj that blood should flow in veins and not in drains.

Shri Kuldeep Singh Ji, Sanyojak, Panchkula thanked the Hon’ble Minister and other dignitaries as also the donors for making the camp a great success.
