The Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF) planted 60,000 saplings on October 7, 2017 at Mother Teresa Crescent and Sardar Patel Marg as a part of a Mega Green Drive sponsored by Times of India and Hero Group jointly.
With the kind blessings of Nirankari Satguru Mata Savinder Hardev Ji Maharaj, nearly 6000 volunteers from the Foundation, Sewadal Members and about 300 students from the Sant Nirankari Public School, Sant Nirankari Colony participated in the drive. They assembled at 7.00 a.m. and after Prayers spread out to plant the trees.
Speaking on the occasion, Respected Bindiya Chhabra Ji, Executive President said that like the weeds grow automatically in the fields, where there are no trees our minds also get polluted in the absence of human values. She also inspired every devotee to contribute towards removing pollution from the environment by planting more trees. She further said that the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation has also taken up tree plantation as a major campaign and this year we have already planted 2 lakh saplings in Delhi, Chandigarh and Indore. So far, we have planted 6 lakh trees all over India. Tree Plantation Drive has already become a part of Baba Hardev Singh Ji’s Birthday celebrations on February 23 every year.
